The nearest access to the ocean from Villa Tamar is Tres Trapi – literally one minute drive or twelve minutes walk. Other famous beaches very close to villa are Boca Catalina, Malmok, Arashi , Palm Beach and Eagle beach – all in just a few (3-6) minutes drive from Villa.
I need to work remotely – how stable is the WiFi @ Villa Tamar?
Villa Tamar has high speed Internet connected to Fiber Optic by local Internet provider Setar. WiFi access is available and tested in every spot inside the house and in the patio/swimming pool area. It is installed by certified WiFi professional.

How expensive are groceries in Aruba and where to get them?
Grocery prices are slightly (about 10%) more expensive than in regular grocery stores in the US, closer to prices you can find in California. However, you can find some local food such as baked goods and cheese products (directly delivered from the Netherlands) with very attractive prices. We usually recommend to use SuperFood or Ling&Sons for your daily grocery needs. SuperFood is about 10 minutes drive from Villa Tamar. There are a couple of smaller grocery stores within walking distance from the Villa.
Do I need to rent a car?
We usually strongly recommend to rent a car for the entire duration of your stay to enjoy the whole island. There are many attractions on the island including multiple beaches you would LOVE to visit. Renting a small car is usually under 250$/week. There is a number of rental car companies available – international chains (e.g. Dollar, Avis, National,Budget and so on) or local.
